IT Applications Analyst - South Portland, ME

Participate in the analysis, design, development, integration and testing of new systems, enhancements, maintenance or sustainability of existing systems, and end-to-end production support of all local manufacturing application needs of varying technologies and complexities.

Work closely with business partners and IT team members to identify needs, evaluate alternative business opportunities and strategies to provide innovative solutions to the unique requirements of semiconductor manufacturing. Execute on the creation and enhancement of new and existing software in response to defined business priorities.

Deliver on a strategy that includes the design and delivery of new solutions, management and remediation of existing risks, and the continual improvement of internal operations. Incorporate best practices in project management, software development, and system sustainability in day-to-day decision making. Apply software engineering, information systems, and life cycle management principles to the business needs of the organization.

Monitor application stability, performance, and availability by promptly confronting, escalating, and resolving issues as they arise. Debug and fix defects in applications running in Windows, Linux, and web platforms. Participate in on-call rotation to triage and resolve urgent, critical issues.

Coordinate the deployment and integration of applications with local, global and vendor teams. Identify technology needs, formulate corresponding solutions, and utilize systematic methods or processes to further continuous improvement.

Work with multiple programming and scripting languages including C, C#, Java and PHP. Using SECS (SEMI Equipment Communications Standard)/GEM (Generic Equipment Model) communication interface protocols, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Semiconductor manufacturing equipment operating process, and software development system to system.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as a Computer Integrated Manufacturing Engineer, Automation Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 2 years performing software development system to system; using SECS/GEM communication interface protocols; Manufacturing Execution Systems; and 1 year using Semiconductor manufacturing equipment operating process.
