Quality Engineer - Oldham, UK

An exciting opportunity is available to join our established Quality team within compliance. The role is to take an active role in the implementation of Quality systems for the site, performing audits, supporting improvement activities, and handling a range of product or customer issues.  This role will be broad and challenging.  

Key Responsibility Areas

 Working in the Quality Systems – Compliance team, assisting in managing:

  • Customer enquiries in regards to Diodes product and company information
  • Supporting product documentation for our customers in the form of PPAP / IMDS
  • Supporting customers and internal customer support teams to answer questions related to compliance and legislation (REACH , RoHS , Responsible Minerals Initiatives )
  • Management reviews acc. to IATF 16949
  • Internal, external, Customer Specific Requirements & Customer audits
  • Lessons Learned
  • Document Management and Control.

Supporting:

  • Waferfab teams & Sales Force
  • Corporate PCN & PPAP creation processes
  • Automotive customers
  • Dealing with customer enquiries / complaints / resolving customer issues
Essential Qualifications:
University degree or relevant experience in the field of automotive, material engineering, chemistry, electronics or semiconductor manufacturing. 
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Understanding of Global OEMs Substance Regulations
  •  Experience in IMDS and REACH
  •  Expertise of the EU directive requirements for material and sound experience in the field of IMDS
  •  Very good analytical skills and the ability to work independently
  • Understanding of ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA6.3, ISO14001, or similar depending on industry experience
  • Organized, efficient, and have good interpersonal skills.
