Diodes' strives to reduce the environmental impacts of its products and meet the demands of our customers. Material Content Lists are available. Please request this through compliance@diodes.com or your local sales office.
These products contain no purposefully added Lead either internally or externally, trace quantities may remain but are below reporting thresholds.
These products have a lead-free solder finish, but contain Lead internally in the form of high-temperature melting point solder, or glass encapsulation or glass die passivation. Lead in these materials are RoHS exempt.
These products are RoHS-compliant and contain <900ppm bromine, <900ppm chlorine (<1500ppm total Br+Cl) and <1000ppm antimony compounds ).
Diodes' lead-free solder finishes are backwards compatible with Pb-containing solders. Soldering profiles may need to be adjusted depending upon the design and process variables.
Diodes' products are compatible with most Lead-Free soldering alloys, including SnAg, SnCu and SnAgCu.
All products will withstand a maximum peak reflow temperature of 260ºC for 30 seconds.
The International Material Data System (IMDS) and The China Automotive Material Data System (CAMDS) are material data systems for the automotive industry. Diodes' IMDS/CAMDS product data is available upon request. Contact: compliance@diodes.com or your local sales office.
Diodes' products defined as "Totally Lead Free" contain no purposefully added Lead internally or externally. Impurites may remain but are below the reporting thresholds.
These products have no external Lead in the solder finish, but will contain Lead internally in the form of high temperature die bonding solder, glass encapsulation or die glass passivation. Lead in these materials are exempted from RoHS.
Diodes defines "Green" products as those which are RoHS compliant and contain <900ppm bromine, <900ppm chlorine (<1500ppm total Br+Cl) and <1000ppm antimony compounds.
The lead-free solder finishes are backwards compatible with Pb-containing solders. Soldering profiles may need to be adjusted depending on PCB design and process variables.
RoHS is European legislation for the Restriction of use of Hazardous Substances. Other countries have there own versions but they are essentially the same.
The RoHS Directive was issued in, 2003 by the European Commission and recast in 2011. It sets maximum limits on certain chemical elements and substances which can be present in electronic equipment sold throughout the European Union.
Diodes' products are compliant with RoHS, although some use the published exemptions.
REACH is European legislation for the Registration, Evaluation, Restriction and Authorisation of Chemicals.
The REACH Regulation was issued in 2006 by the European Commission. It established a framework for protecting human health and the environment from the risks posed by chemicals throughout the European Union.
Diodes' products are compliant with REACH.
